Erich A. Kraus


Erich’s experience spans 30 years in the oil and gas industry, including 7 years as chief financial officer for Matrix Oil & Gas, Inc., an operator engaged in the acquisitions and exploitation business in the Gulf of Mexico and onshore Louisiana. Matrix merged with a subsidiary of Denbury Resources Inc. in July 2001 in a transaction valued at $163 million. As CFO, Erich was responsible for all finance and administrative functions including the development and implementation of corporate strategy and negotiating strategic transactions. Following the Denbury/Matrix transaction, he founded Tammany Oil & Gas LLC and continues today as its President. His previous experience includes 5 years as a crude oil and gas liquids trader with The Louisiana Land & Exploration Company. He also spent a period in public accounting. Erich holds a MS degree in Accounting from the University of New Orleans. back to top

Randol W. Bradford

Chief Operating Officer

In addition to his 10 years with Tammany, Randy’s background includes 26 years with Freeport-McMoRan including the position of Vice President – Operations, followed by 5 years working for Operational Services, Inc., an oil field engineering and operations firm, and 2 years as an independent consultant. During these 7 years, Randy participated in and led profitability enhancement studies in 30 fields for 14 different companies. He earned a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and holds 3 technical patents. His strengths include operations effectiveness, cost control and personnel management. back to top

John R. Jordan

Chief Technical Officer

John has over 30 years diverse experience in oil & gas evaluation, acquisitions and reservoir engineering for both onshore and offshore assets. John worked for Damson Oil doing evaluations for acquisitions and later divestitures in the early 80s. In the mid 80s John worked for Templeton Energy in the reservoir engineering department managing the corporate reserves as well as evaluating acquisitions working closely with the financial group. Upon closing the acquisition of LEDCO, a gas marketing group, producer and LDC in Louisiana, John was transferred to the company to help in transition as well as developing a computer system to aid in the purchase, sale, transportation and monitoring of the marketing business. After leaving LEDCO in 1989 John joined Minerex Corporation where he worked as a consultant evaluating acquisition and performing reservoir engineering. John oversaw all aspects of the drilling of Minerex's wells in Northern Louisiana. While at Minerex John developed a program for gas marketing that was sold to EDS, developed a Mark to Market tracking system, and multiple simulation programs for well performance. In 2002 John joined Erich and Randy at Tammany. John earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas. back to top

John R. Handley

Senior Geologist

John has over 30 years of industry experience. Most of his career was spent with Enron Corporation where he worked as a Reservoir Geologist within the Natural Gas Pipeline Group, Enron Finance Corp. and the Deepwater Business Group. He has worked primarily with existing and development stage fields in the onshore Gulf Coast, East and West Texas and the Gulf of Mexico areas. Using subsurface mapping, log analysis, production curve analysis and GIS, John has assessed reserves for pipeline connections, volumetric production payments and deepwater pipeline projects. John’s skill set compliments Tammany’s acquisition team. He earned a BS Degree in Geology from Stephen F. Austin State University. He is an AAPG Certified Petroleum Geologist.back to top

Doyle W. Johnson

Senior Engineer

Doyle has over 28 years of oil & gas experience that includes 17 years with the Louisiana Office of Conservation. He began his career as a field engineer with Halliburton Logging Services. While at the Office of Conservation, he worked in the areas of regulatory compliance, unitization, Underground Injection Control, orphaned oilfield site restoration, and administration. Doyle has a BS Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Louisiana back to top

John W. Gemmell

Manager – Acquisitions & Divestitures

John has 28 years petroleum industry experience including engineering, operations, business development and acquisitions. Prior to Tammany, he worked for Phillips Petroleum Company, Petrolite Corporation and The Lubrizol Corporation. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a MBA from Kansas University.back to top
